AKA5HA (pronounced "Akasha") is a 1996 class songwriter and producer, born and raised on the outskirts of Bologna and now based in the city. Son of Bolognese father and Sardinian mother. Its path starts from production: years to build songs for others in the urban/rap area, between samples, programming and a voice treated as timbre. From there, the natural evolution towards technical work in the studio up to mix and mastering, skills that continues to use in their outputs, keeping together vision and result. The personal debut comes with “Incanto e Disperazione” (2022, self-production), the first real comparison with the autoriality: texts present but still in close dialogue with sound, a writing that prefers timbric matter to pure confession. It's where the producer decides to get on the front line, without giving up his obsession with detail. The present is an electronic songwriterate in focus: the voice moves to the center but remains intertwined with precise sound research, where synthesizers, samples and acoustic instruments coexist in a controlled density balance. Sound coordinates serve as a map, not a mirror: IOSONOUNCANE for autoriale voltage and electronic colour; Moderat and Floating Points for architecture, pulsation and space; Bon Iver for the relationship between voice and digital processing; Aphex Twin for a more inorganic than organic suspension. References chosen for different reasons, never as a direct comparison. The next work of AKA5HA is entitled “Rifiorirai” and will be released on 7 November 2025 for Tanca. Written, produced, mixed and mastered by the artist, with artistic production shared with IOSONOUNCANE. No featuring: a space of total responsibility in which the experience to be produced and the autorional one find a clear synthesis, held together by an almost surgical attention to the sound and a writing that does not give up the emotional impact.
