Giacomo Giunchedi, a Abruzzo-based musician based in Bologna, first joined electronics in 2014 with the trio electrowave Torakiki. After a period devoted to other musical fields, in 2020 he decided to resume that experience and, taking advantage of the live collected over time (including Ypsigrock, Gondar, NIM, Fruit Exhibition, in Italy, and Mein Haus Am See and Barkett in Berlin), gives life to the Sacrobosco project, returning to work on some unfinished pieces of the Torakiki repertoire. In 2021 he released Both Sides Of The Sky, his debut LP with the soloist alias Sacrobosco, for Sussidiaria, label by Daniele Carretti (Offlaga Disco Pax, Felpa, Magpie), with whom he established a relationship of artistic collaboration and stage sharing. On May 5, 2023, the album IVXVI, the first chapter of two twin works intended to interpenetrate with the second and last publication expected in autumn, was released for Trovarobato. Meanwhile Sacrobosco embarks on a tour full of stages both in Italy and abroad, presenting itself on some dates with an unprecedented formation that also sees the involvement of Paolo Raineri, eclectic trumpeter and founder of the Ottone project Heavy. On September 14, the unpublished Higher is coming, chosen to anticipate the launch scheduled in October – again on Trovarobato – of the album IXVXI, second chapter as well as natural continuation of the previous IVXVI. The single – of which an official video clip is available – is flanked by the remixes of two basic producers in Bologna, knarzy and Jr Asa Nauw, who propose a new and suggestive look on the original song.
